SIMULATION IN INTRALOGISTICS
SIMULATION IN INTRALOGISTICS
Period: Summer term
Participant limitation if applicable
Learning objectives:
Basic understanding of event-orientated process simulation in logistics
Application knowledge of the simulation tool Plant Simulation
Building understanding of the topic ‘Simulation in logistics’
CONTENTS
Contents:
The seminar ‘Simulation in Intralogistics’ takes place as an integrated programming seminar at the Institute of Technical Logistics. It offers participants a basic and far-reaching introduction to discrete-event simulation with the Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation software programme.
Programming is actively encouraged on the participants’ own computers: Participants should therefore preferably have a laptop with the Windows® operating system available.
Participants learn the basic concepts of object-orientated programming: control structures, case distinctions, variables, data types as well as the handling of the simulation software Plant Simulation.
The examination takes place as a programmed exam in the computer pool of the Computer Centre. The students have to solve programming tasks.
