style=\"--awb-text-font-family:&quot;Poppins&quot;;--awb-text-font-style:normal;--awb-text-font-weight:400;\"><p>Matrix production is a new process for structuring production: it breaks up the rigid structure of synchronized line production.<\/p>\n<p>However, high-speed plastics processing in particular poses special challenges in terms of transport speed, buffers, content, productivity and processing time.<\/p>\n<p>A new type of system for plastics production was simulated as part of the project. The process is based on a matrix structure. The knowledge gained in the area of production planning and control was simulated and tested in two optimization algorithms.<\/p>\n<p>The simulation and the development of the optimization algorithms were carried out at the Institute of Technical Logistics.<\/p>\n<p>These optimization algorithms were then evaluated based on the production data and compared with each other.<\/p>\n<p>The simulation was carried out using a discrete-event simulation.
