LOGISTICS CONCEPT FOR A CONSOLIDATED CABIN PARTS WAREHOUSE

Research project: Logistics concept for a consolidated cabin parts warehouse

Research area: Planning of logistics locations

In cooperation with: Airbus Operations GmbH

Start of the project: 08/2018

End of the project: 09/2019

ABOUT THE PROJECT

As part of the project, a feasibility study was first carried out to consolidate several geographically distributed warehouses into one warehouse for aircraft cabin parts. A rough target scenario was examined based on a comprehensive as-is analysis. Due to the positive results of the feasibility study, it was recommended that a consolidated cabin warehouse be pursued further.

From October 2018 to September 2019, a detailed logistics concept for such a warehouse was developed as part of the project.
