Kniffelix takes the protection of user data very seriously. For this reason, we would like to inform you as a user about what data we collect and how we handle this data.

1) Collection and Processing of Data

When you visit our site…

So that you can see the website, we receive information from your computer.

When you access one of our websites, your computer asks one of our computers for a specific internet address, the URL. At the same time, your computer also sends us the following information:

– a number (IP address) at which it is currently accessible
– when (date and time) the Kniffelix page was visited
– which pages on Kniffelix were viewed
– as well as a series of other technical data such as the internet program used (the so-called browser type) or which operating system you are using on your computer

In order for our website to open on your computer, we need to briefly store and process your IP address and the other data.

In the event that our computer has problems, we store all accesses for one week as a precaution. This way we can check what exactly happened. If there are such problems, we may store the data for longer so that we have time to thoroughly investigate the problem. After that, the data will be deleted.

When you leave a comment on a page…

If you write a comment on a Kniffelix post, we collect the data you entered when commenting. This means we store the text you entered in the comment field as well as the nickname you chose, if you provided one. If you have uploaded an image to a comment, we will also store that.

We store the data in order to display the comment on our site. By submitting a comment, you agree that it will be publicly visible on our site with the date and time. The comment will be stored indefinitely, unless it violates our Community Rules. Then it will not appear on our site and will be deleted immediately after review.

If you want a comment you have published to be deleted or corrected, please contact us together with your parents via the Kniffelix Contact Form.

When you write us a message via the contact form…

Kniffelix offers you a contact form to send us a message. In addition to your message, you also send us information about yourself, namely your name and an email address, so that we can reply to you. We need your permission to store this data. If you are under 16 years old, we also need your parents’ permission. So that we know that you and your parents agree, you must click the box below the message field.

After we have answered your message, we will delete the information you provided. We will only keep the message longer if this is required by law.
