You’re back 🙂
After you have built your wings, we want to examine them more closely. The shape of the wings is very important for flying.
To see what makes them special, we will try to make the built wings fly with airflow. We will use a hairdryer again to create the airflow.
For this experiment you will need:
– your crafted wings,
– something to which you can attach strings
(e.g. a piece of wood with eyelets, a book, a chair, a stair railing, …),
– strings and
– a hairdryer.
CAUTION! Never use a hairdryer near water! This applies to the power cord and the hairdryer itself. DANGER TO LIFE!
If you can set a cold setting on the hairdryer, please use it.
In the instructions, we will show you step by step how to carry out the experiment. You can of course print out the instructions again.
Record your observations on the worksheet (for Experiment 2 & 3) from Mission 1. If you haven’t printed out the worksheet yet, you can do so again here.
Carry out the series of experiments. Record your observations on the worksheet.
You can share your observations and ideas about it with others in the community.
