Children’s Researchers at TUHH

Kniffelix is part of the KinderForscher at TUHH. They aim to inspire children and young people early on for science and technology and to show them paths into studying, training, and careers. The initiative relies on three complementary offerings that accompany young people from their first experiment to career orientation.

Three pillars for STEM education

Kniffelix – Discover science online

Kniffelix provides a digital offering that conveys science and technology in an entertaining way. Children, young people, and adults can experiment independently, explore puzzling phenomena, and gain insights into current research. Furthermore, Kniffelix offers information on degree programs, training paths, and careers in the STEM field.

Experiment kits – Science you can touch

The experiment kits enable schools, educational institutions, and group leaders to conduct science experiments with entire classes or larger groups. The kits contain materials, instructions, and background information, so no special prior scientific knowledge is required. Many experiments can be directly linked to the topics and quests of Kniffelix. This creates a combination of digital learning and practical application that conveys scientific contexts in a particularly vivid way.

NachwuchsCampus – Bridges between school, university, and industry

The NachwuchsCampus brings children and young people together with companies, universities, and specialists. The goal is to provide early insights into different professional and study fields and to impart practical experience. Participants get to know various job profiles and gain insights into the working world of scientists, engineers, technicians, apprentices, and students. This creates valuable contacts and orientation opportunities for their own future.
