Modulations that are often used in optical communication systems are so-called pulse-time modulations (PTM). A pulse carrier is changed in its time-dependent parameters. These include Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), Pulse Position modulation (PPM) and Pulse Interval Modulation (PIM).
In this project work, different PTM's should be implemented, simulated and evaluated on a Low Power FPGA for the transmission of data.
