Implementation and Evaluation of a Library for different MAC-Protocols for LiFi-communication for MCUs

In (LiFi) communication there are often multiple participants involved, who want to send and receive independently of each other at different times. This may lead to collisions. But also, different signal strengths and distances may lead to some participants not seeing each other. Medium Access Control (MAC) protocols are used in communication to manage access to a shared communication medium. They employ different techniques to avoid collisions, allocate resources efficiently, and enable multiple users to share the same communication medium.

In this Project Work, different MAC-Procotols to be used in LiFi-communication should be researched and compared and a parameterizable C++-Library to use the MAC Protocols for MCUs should be developed. For evaluation, a Omnet++ Simulation should compare different implementations and configurations. But also theoretical analysis and assumptions should be done.
