In LiFi communication the receiver needs to detect and amplify the light signal from the sender. One possible receiver front end consists of a photodiode and a transimpedance-amplifier, which amplifies the current produced by the photodiode. Dealing with small components, variable distances, high datarates and a very high amplifier-gain the challenge is to reduce the overdrive of the operational amplifier (OPA), which significantly reduces the speed.
In this project work different possible components and circuits for a transimpedance-amplifier should be researched, analyzed and compared.
Questions to keep in mind: - Speed / Distance / Relation - Complexity / Size - How to tackle the problem of OPA overdrive (with dynamic distances)?
